Sullia: A youth from Sullia and another from Bantwal are said to be in distress in Saudi Arabia after they were forced to do menial work instead of the jobs offered. Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, on coming to know about the problems of the two youth has written to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj seeking her help to bring back the two youth.

Sharath from Shanthinagar here had left for Jeddah eleven months ago to work as a driver after getting the job through a visa agent named Muneer in Mangaluru. However, in Jeddah Sharath was forced to do loading jobs and even faced torture. He had recently narrated his plight to his family members through a voice message

It has been gathered that a youth named Ravi from Bantwal too is caught in Saudi in a similar problem. Nalin has written the problem to Sushma Swaraj and is confident of getting support from her.
