District prison raided; ganja and mobile seized

Mangaluru: Police raided the district prison and seized several items which included mobiles and ganja. The police under the guidance of city police commissioner Chandra Shekar raided the prison premises at around 2 am of Monday, September 5.

They seized 29 mobiles, 12 SIM cards, unspecified amount of ganja, 1 knife, 1 metal punch, iron rods etc.

DCPs Shantharaju and Sanjeev Patil, ACPs Uday Naik and Thilakraj, Inspectors Rajesh from Barke, Maruti Naik from Kadri, Shantharam from Bunder and Raveesh from Urwa also took part in the operation with police and KSRP personnel.
