Dr Cyprian awarded Featherstone Professorship by AAGBI

Mangaluru: Dr Cyprian Mendonca was awarded the prestigious Featherstone Professorship by the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland (AAGBI) and president’s commendation certificate from Royal College of Anesthetists for his contribution to education and research in the field of Anaesthesia.

Dr Cyprian Mendonca is the son of late Charles Mendonca and Christine Mendonca from Pangla Parish and husband of Dr Veeda Flavia Mendonca, MBBS, MRCGP.

He has organized a wide number of courses to train the anesthetists of the future and improved airway management for patients. He has also been instrumental in setting up state of the art airway lab at Coventry.

Through sustained commitment to medical education, he has published five exam preparation books in Anaesthesia and two books for medical students. He is actively involved in research and has published several papers in the peer-reviewed journals. He is the co-author of Difficulty Airway Society 2015 Intubation Guidelines.

Dr Cyprian Mendonca is MBBS, MD, FRCA, Featherstone Professor, Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain & Ireland. He is also honorary associate professor at Warwick Medical School (UK), Consultant Anaesthetist, University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust (UK).
