Dr Sachidananda Rai elected president of IMA

Mangaluru: Renowned orthopedic specialist of Unity Hospital in the city, Dr Sachidananda Rai was elected as president for the year 2018-19 of Indian Medical Association (IMA), Mangaluru branch, which is considered as one of the oldest and biggest branches of IMA in the state of Karnataka.

Dr Annaiah Kulal Ulthoor, chief medical officer of Srinivas Group of Institutions and a famous family doctor was elected as president-designate for the year 2019-20. Dr Sudhindra Rao, medical specialist of K S Hegde Medical College was elected as secretary and Dr Vinay Kumar of K S Hegde Medical College as the treasurer.

50 senior and junior doctors in the city were elected as members of the committee. The installation ceremony of the office bearers will be held on November 14.
