‘ECOZENITH 2017’ held at St Philomena College Puttur

Puttur: The Post Graduate Department of Economics of St Philomena College Puttur in association with Mangalore University Economics Association organized an inter-collegiate Economics Fest ‘ECOZENITH 2017’ on February 17, 2017 in College auditorium.

The Chairperson of Centre for PG Studies of the College Rev Dr. Antony Prakash Monteiro inaugurated ‘ECOZENITH 2017’ and in his address said, ‘Arts is one of the important branches of knowledge. The students of Arts are at par with other students in terms of quality.’

The Secretary of Mangalore University Economics Association Prof. Radhakrishna Shetty participated as the chief guest. He said, ‘Eco Fest provides an opportunity to the students of Arts to exhibit their knowledge and skills.’

The Principal Prof Leo Noronha presided over the programme. The Convenor Mr. Pradeep K S and the President of Planning Forum Ms. Pavithra G were present on this occasion.

Mrs. Lavita and group presented the prayer song. The Coordinator Prof. Dinakara Rao welcomed the gathering. Ms. Shobitha M proposed the vote of thanks. Assistant Professor Mrs. Sandhya H and Mrs. Lavita Lobo compered the programme.

In valedictory function, the Chairperson of Centre for PG Studies of the College Rev Dr. Antony Prakash Monteiro participated as the chief guest and felicitated the prize winners. The HoD of Economics Prof. Ganapathy S presided over the programme. The Secretary of Mangalore University Economics Association Prof. Radhakrishna Shetty and the Coordinator Prof. Dinakara Rao were present on this occasion.

The students from 25 colleges under UG section and the students from 6 PG study centre affiliated to Mangalore University have participated in various events. St Aloysius College (Autonomous) Mangalore bagged the overall championship and Cauvery College Gonikoppal secured the Runners up trophy of ‘ECOZENITH 2017’.

The President of Planning Forum Ms. Pavithra G welcomed the gathering. The Convenor Mr. Pradeep K S presented the list of prize winners. Ms. Shreevalli proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Jecintha Lobo compered the programme.
