Engineering student commits suicide

Mangaluru: A 21-year-old college student committed suicide at her residence at Akash Bhavan on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Manisha (21).

Manisha was a student of Sahyadri College and was pursuing third year of civil engineering. She was suffering from hearing and eyesight problems since childhood and was under treatment. It is said that she was depressed because of these health issues.

When she was alone at home, Manisha hanged herself with a shawl from the ceiling fan in the dining hall of her house. She left behind a death note.
