Extension activity on water crisis management

On 09 September 2019, the Department of Business Administration, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru had organized an extension activity to Seventh and Tenth standard students of St Rita Higher Primary School, Cascia, Jeppu Rd, Mangaluru, on the topic Water Crisis Management .

The objective was to create awareness on water crisis, conservation of water and rain water harvesting. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Mrs. Prima Dsouza, Assistant Professor, Department of BBA, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru.

The programme began with a short video presentation on water crisis faced in 2020 in various parts of India followed by a power point presentation on water crisis management and new schemes offered by Government were explained by Ms. Mirfath, Ms. Nazisha and Ms. Ashfiya. Spot games were conducted in between the sessions and winners were rewarded with prizes. A Chart on rain water harvesting was explained and presented by Ms. Hiba and Ms. Shibani. A skit was performed emphasizing the importance of saving water for the future by Ms. Felcita, Ms. Anisha, Ms. Anshiya and Ms. Nisha. Ms. Layyina assisted the team in capturing photos and conducting of the games. At the end of the session, feedback was taken and an entertaining dance was performed by Ms. Mirfath, Ms. Nazisha, Ms. Aamna, Ms. Muskan and Ms. Shibani. The extension activity was successful and blissful; all the students gave a positive feedback and enjoyed the programme.
