FMHMC hosts RGUHS Mysuru-zonal throwball tournament

Mangaluru: Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Deralakatte, on October 27, hosted the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Mysuru-zonal intercollegiate throwball tournament.

Fr Richard Coelho, director, FMCI, inaugurated the programme and said, “Students should actively take part in sports and enjoy games for a healthy mind and body. They should never underestimate their opponents or be over-confident."

The throwball tournament was for both, men and women. Tennikoit was held exclusively for women.

The chief guest inaugurated the tournament with mock play.

The programme began with a prayer song. Dr Shivaprasad K, principal welcomed the gathering.

Fr Sylvester Lobo, administrator in charge, FMHMCH, Dr E S J Prabhu Kiran, vice principal, FMHMCH, Fr Peter Noronha, former director, Dr Sajan K R, coordinator, Sports Committee, FMHMCH, Chenna Keshava MG, physical education instructor, FMHMCH, Goutham KS, sports secretary, FMHMCH and faculty members were present for the programme.

Chief guest gave the mementoes to the officials.

The inaugural programme ended with vote of thanks by Goutham K S, sports secretary and institution anthem.
