FMHMCH observes Doctors' Day

Mangaluru: Doctors' day was celebrated at Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital on Monday.

The programme began with lighting the lamp by the chief guest Dr Rajeshwari Devi H R, district surgeon and superintendent, Wenlock District Hospital; Fr Richard Coelho, director, FMCI and Fr Vincent Saldanha, administrator of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, along with other dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rajeshwari Devi said, "Doctors’ service is a necessity. The medical profession is at the crossroads and all the doctors are called to follow medical ethics. They need to venture into research work."

Fr Richard Coelho, in his message, said that doctors are instruments in the hands of God who alleviate human suffering though their compassionate care.

All the Doctors of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College were felicitated.

Earlier, Fr Sylvester Lobo, assistant administrator, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, introduced the chief guest and welcomed the gathering. Dr Shivaprasad K, principal, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College delivered the vote of thanks.

Fr Peter Noronha, Dr E S J Prabhu Kiran, vice-principal, FMHMC, and Dr Girish Navada, deputy medical superintendent FMHMCH were also present on the occasion.
