FMMC, FMCN organise guest lecture on breast feeding

Mangaluru: As a part of World Breast Feeding Week celebrations, a guest lecture was organized by the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Father Muller Medical College and College of Nursing in the Hospital Conference Hall.

Dr Prathima Prabhu, assistant professor, department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Father Muller Medical College was the resource person. She reviewed the various aspects of breast feeding and highlighted theme ‘Breastfeeding the foundation of life’ 2018, and recent updates from BFHI regarding breast feeding.

Faculty, students and staff nurses from the Father Muller Medical College, Nursing College and hospital, staff nurses witnessed the programme. On the same day a poster display competition on the theme ‘Breastfeeding: Foundation to life’ was held for the students. The winners of the poster competition were awarded.
