FMMCH inaugurates new academic year for MBBS course

Mangaluru: The MBBS course for the academic year 2017-18 was inaugurated on Friday at Decennial Memorial Hall, Father Muller Medical College, here.

The programme was presided over by Fr Richard A Coelho, director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions.

Fr Dionysius Vaz, rector, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, was chief guest for the inaugural.

Other dignitaries present on the dais included Fr Ajith Menezes, administrator of the Medical College, Fr Rudolph Ravi D’Sa, administrator of the Hospital, Dr Jayaprakash Alva, dean, and Dr Prakash Shetty, course coordinator.

The programme began with a welcome address by Dr Jayaprakash Alva and inaugural address by Fr Dionysius Vaz. This was followed by a response by the parent representative and the directors message.

The new batch was given guidelines about the course and the college by Dr Jayaprakash Alva and Fr Rudolph Ravi D’Sa.

The institutional documentary was screened. Reminiscence and self introduction by batch of 2017 students followed.
