First transgender RJ of Mangaluru is all set to entertain you

Mangaluru: On November 21, 27-year-old Kajal will make debut as the first transgender RJ in coastal Karnataka. Her first show will be an interview with another transgender on the struggles their community faces.

Radio Sarang 107.8, a community radio channel run by a private college, has decided to employ her as a permanent RJ on par with contemporary RJs 

Kajal’s show titled Shubhamangala will be aired every Tuesday from 5pm - 6pm. She recorded her first show on N Thursday. Abhishek, in-charge of Radio Sarang, said after a few episodes, Kajal will be aired live. Kajal realised that she was undergoing a physical transformation at the age of 14. Though she grappled several physical and mental issues at this point.

She has bagged numerous awards. During one such award ceremony at a private college, that she came in contact with the team from Sarang.
