Fishing activities suspended in Someshwar and Uchila

Mangaluru: Country boat fishing came to a standstill in several places in the district on November 22, Monday as the sea had turned turbulent in Someshwar, Uchila and other places.

Of the total 17 traditional fishing boats which operated from Someshwar, 14 had suspending fishing activities on Tuesday. The fishermen have said that they have not received any information or warning from the department concerned against venturing into fishing.

However they themselves suspended the fishing activities due to sea turning turbulent.
