Former Congressman Harikrishna Bantwal to join BJP

Bantwal: Harikrishna Bantwal, who was expelled from the Congress 2015 for contesting the MLC election as an independent candidate, is now all set to join the BJP. He is expected to join the BJP at the 'Parivartana Samavesha' in Bantwal on November 20.

Harikrishna Bantwal was an active member of the Congress for 35 years and served in several posts. He had revolted against the Congress when he was refused ticket in the last MLC elections, and dissatisfied with the candidature of Pratapchandra Shetty.

He then contested the elections as an independent for which he was expelled from the party for six years. He lost the MLC elections. He has stayed away from Congress workers since few months.
