Kundapura, October 3: With the joint association of Women’s Association of Kundapura zone, Catholic Sabha of Udupi Region ® and Chyavana Institute of Para-Science, Udupi, the medical check-up camp for women to diagnose the bone density, diabetes, blood pressure and other health problems, was held at Holy Rosary Church Auditorium of Kundapura.

The chief priest of Kundapura Zone, Rev Fr..Anil D’souza inaugurated the camp by lighting the lamp and said “Our health is in our hand. In the hopes of getting a doctor, we can not lead the life lazily. By participating in these types of camps, we can get the knowledge to lead the life”.

The president of the Catholic Sabha of Kundapur unit-Flevin D’souza welcomed all. The Spiritual Director of the Women’s Association of Kundapur Zone, Rev .Fr. Lawarance Martis wished the camp.

Speeking about the women’s health Dr Mamatha Naveen said that, “In these days women are susceptible to diseases because they do not have enough work to do”. Explaining about the importance of the exercise, she said “Women’s illness will not completely be cured by removing the uterus. We must be awake, before coming to the stage of removal. Talking about breast cancer, she said that we should have awareness of our health”.

The superintendent of Chyavans Institute of Para-Science-P N Bhat conveyed that “everyone should be diagnosed twice in a year”. Dr Sathyajeeth Kadkoal and Dr Gayathri Kadkoal were present as diagonisers.

The Secretary of the Catholic Sabha Mebal D’souza, Secretary of the Women’s Association Nora D’souza, Co-ordinator of the programme Jenny D’souza were present at the dais.
