Gang sells fake mixer grinders

Belthangady: People at Perla, Nekkarthimaru and Nuji areas of Shibaje village were cheated after a gang of five sold fake quality mixer grinders to them.

The gang gave the villagers a visiting card bearing the name Manjunath Marketing, Belthangady and exchanged the old mixer grinders with the new ones for Rs 3,000 and Rs 4,000. However, the mixer grinders went out of order within two days. When they contacted the number on the visiting the card, it was not reachable. The families are suffering now as they have spent much money for purchasing mixer grinders.

Shibaje GP Vice President Madhava Gowda Khandige filed a complaint at Dharmasthala police station and a case was registered.
