Ganja addict tries to rape 52-year-old woman

Bantwal: A ganja addict who was fully drunk reportedly tried to rape a middle-aged woman at Sajipanadu village. Siddque (30) reached the home of a 52-year-old lady who lives alone, and knocked on the door at around midnight. When the woman opened the door, he forcibly entered her home and tried to rape her.

When the lady shouted for help, the accused is said to have scampered home. On the basis of a complaint filed by the woman, the rural police here have taken the accused into custody.

A case stands registered at the rural police station and investigation has been launched.
