Kundapura, July 3: Rev. Fr. Lawrence D’Souza- General Secretary of Udupi Catholic education board inaugurated the Golden Jubilee anniversary of St. Mary’s High School Kundapura on June 30.

In this occasion Vasanthi Sarang- Municipal President, inaugurated the inaugural panel and expressed -“St. Mary’s educational institution is well known for its discipline” and wished good luck. Rajesh Kaveri- alumni as well as Municipal vice president, honored the students who scored highest marks.

Rev. Father Anil D’Souza- correspondent of the institution sought the co-operation of the Students, Alumni, as well as Parents in making this event a grand success. Sitharam Shetty- the education officer of Kundapura, distributed bicycles to students which were offered by the Government and wished good luck. Dinakar Shetty- President of Udupi teachers association, distributed books offered by Geetanand Trust. Geetanjali R. Nayak- President of Kundapura, offered drinking water unit.

Manjula Nayar- Deputy Principal of St. Mary’s Pre-University College, Sister Joyceline- Headmistress of Sacred Rosary English Medium School, Dora Suvares- Headmistress of St. Mary’s Higher Primary School, Shaila Almeida- Headmistress of Sacred Rosary Kinder Garten were present on the dais.

After the inaugural function, students exhibited dance performances and a short play- ‘Karunamayi Mary Maate’directed by Barnard J. Costa.

Lewis J. Fernandes- president of the association welcomed the gathering. Sister Chethana- Headmistress of St. Mary’s High School rendered the vote of thanks. Chandra Shekar Bijaadi, Stanly Dinamani, Asumpta Lobo compiled the program.
