Harikrishna Bantwal hits out at Rai

Published On : 13 Jul 2017   |  Reported By : Canaranews Network

Mangaluru: Harikrishna Bantwal who asked DK District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai to swear on Lord Manjunath, again made the same demand. He alleged that Rai had offended senior leader Janardhana Poojary.

Harikrishna Bantwal also claimed that Rai spoke to Poojary over telephone to apologise and also to request against holding any press meet to speak about the issue. He demanded shifting of SP office to Puttur, setting up of a police station at Farangipete, and to have CCTV cameras in front of all houses.

Harikrishna Bantwal said Rai did not attend the funeral of slain RSS worker Sharath Madivala, despite attending the funeral of SDPI leader Ashraf Kalayi who too was murdered. When journalists drew the attention towards the fact that Rai had visited Sharath’s residence, he said it was just an attempt to have a clean image.
