Head Constable of Kollur succumbs to heart attack

Kundapur: Ashok Kharvi (43), a head constable in Kollur Police Station has succumbed to heart attack on December 28, Wednesday

Ashok who hailed from Karanthabail in Gangolli is survived by his wife and two children. It has been learnt that Ashok who had retired to bed after his dinner on December 27, Tuesday had developed chest pain following which he travelled to the hospital by riding pillion in the bike of a colleague who lived in the vicinity. However, he failed to respond to treatment and died the next morning.

Prior to being posted in Kollur, Ashok had served in DCIB and Kota Police Station. He had served the Police Department for two decades. Senior police officials arrived at Kollur to pay last respects to the departed head constable.
