Hindu Maha Sabha attacks Pejawar Swamiji over Iftar

Mangaluru: Dharmendra, State Convenor of the Hindu Maha Sabha attacked Pejawar Pontiff Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji for holding an Iftar Koota last Saturday.

Addressing press persons on Thursday, he accused the seer of resorting to politics in the name of religion and urged him to shun the practice. He said the Hindu outfits are strongly against the seer’s act of holding Iftar Koota inside the Mutt and said the Pejawar seer ought to have organised the event outside the Mutt.

"On July 2, a protest will be organised by the Sri Rama Sene against holding the Iftar Koota in Mangaluru. We will be withdraw the protest, if Pejawar Swamiji arranges a Hanuman Chalisa at a mosque," he said.
