Hindu outfits protest to ban Chinese products

Mangaluru: Bajarang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad held a protest as part of awareness drive for boycotting Chinese products and burned some Chinese goods on September 1.

Addressing the gathering Hindu leader Sharan Pumpwell said,"As common citizen, we must support our country’s economy by boycotting Chinese products. The Chinese government using its military might against India. China is also supporting Pakistan and is hence supporting terrorsim, As citizens, we should ensure that we do not help the Chinese economy to grow. If we consciously decide to buy local products, it will boost our own economy, instead of contributing to the Chinese economy. Soon the action will be taken on the cracker industy at Sivakasi."

The protestors also demanded that government should ban the import of these items, and incentives should be given to domestic manufacturers to keep the prices low.
