Horakanike from Muslim community held

Udupi: District All Muslim Community Paryaya Sauharda Committee organized ‘Hore Kanike’ offerings on the occasion of Paryaya of Sri Sri Vishwadeesha Theertha Swamiji of Palimar Math.

Speaking to media persons, Aboobaker President of Muslim Sauharda Committee said, "All over the district of Udupi, people need to live in harmony and peace . We need peaceful atmosphere in the district with communal harmony. We distributed more than 5000 butter milk during the procession on Paryaya Swamiji’s ‘purapravesha’ in Udupi last week. Previous paryaya period also we offered the Hore Kanike and also distributed the buttur milk to the devotees. We expecting communal harmony with peace and love in the district," he said.

We offered in Hore Kanike with large quantities of vegetables, rice, sugar, various types of lentils, jaggery and so on. The Muslim communities has also organized the Gorakshana Abhiyana next week and Blood donation camp will be held on 16th January."

The offerings procession started from Jodukatte, near Big Bazar here with tableau and chende through the court road, Diana circle, K M Marg and culminated at Rathabeedhi at Krishna Math," he added.
