Huge tree uprooted near Ladyhill

Published On : 12 Jun 2017   |  Reported By : Canaranews Network

Mangaluru: Heavy rains have been lashing the city since the past couple of days. As a casualty, a huge tree near Ladyhill was uprooted in Mangaluru during the early hours of Monday. Traffic was disrupted for some time as the tree fell right on the road.

Luckily there was no casualty as there was not much traffic on the road at that time. The fire service personnel who rushed to the spot have cleared the road of the tree branches.

MCC has been caught napping, with the city facing severe rain. There is no drainage system, which is causing all these incidents. Luckily until now, there has been no case of any deaths. It is high time MCC takes measure to prevent any such incidents in future.
