Human rights, Gender Equality and Human trafficking workshop held

Udupi: A workshop on Human rights, Gender Equality and Human trafficking was organized by Karnataka State Human Rights Commission, Udupi Zilla Panchayat and Global Concern India and Academy of Gandhian Studies held at Zilla Panchayat Hall, Rajathadri, DC office, Manipal.

Dinakar Babu, President of Udupi Zilla Panchayat said that the people’s representatives and officials should know completely about the knowledge on Human Rights. "The people’s representatives indulged in social cause while close relation with the society and they should take seriously to protect the human rights of people. When in order to protect the human rights, they should have know the knowledge of human rights of the people," he said.

Vice president Sheela K Shetty also spoke on human rights of the citizens. The resource person Brandha Adige said that the person will get the human rights in mother’s womb; it will be every person’s responsibility to safeguard the human right of the citizen.

Nalini Pradeep Rao President of Taluk Panchayat, Zilla and Taluk panchayat members, officials of various departments were present in the workshop.
