ICYM Bajjodi observes Green Day

Mangaluru: ICYM Bajjodi unit on Sunday organized 'Green Day' at Infant Mary Church.

The celebration began with a prayer song by the youth. Assistant priest Fr Patrick Lobo was chief guest who presided over the event.

Parish priest Fr Ivan D’Souza, Fr Patrick Lobo, vice president, Joseph Mascarenhas, secretary Irene Pinto, animator Kiran Crasta planted a sapling as an expression of love and concern for nature.

Fr Patrick Lobo in his inspiring message highlighted the significance of the day. He urged to join hands for this noble cause and help in little ways to curb the destruction of this planet.

The youth planted 50 saplings in pots.

Towards the end of the programme, Fr Ivan D’Souza appreciated and congratulated the organizers and all the participants for their active involvement in Vamahotsava.

The programme was compered by Joel Fernandes.

Pranitha welcomed the gathering. The vote of thanks was given by Princiya.
