On the occasion of Christmas and Youth Nite, ICYM Madanthyar Unit had organized Jingle Nite - 2018 on Tuesday 25th December in the premises of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Madanthyar. Rev. Fr Basil Vas - Parish Priest, Madanthyar church presided the programme.
The programme commenced with a grand procession held from Madanthyar town with the Tableau presentation, Nasik band, puppet shows and fire show. Vivek Vincent Pais - delivered a speech on birth of the Christ. Very Rev. Fr Archibald Gonsalvaes were the main guest for the Jingle Nite along with Rev. Fr Ronald Prakash Dsouza - Director, ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Jaison Leroy Pereira, Shirthady – President, ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Rev. Fr Alwyn Dsouza and Rev. Fr Alwyn Dsouza, SJ - Assistant Parish Priests, Madanthyar church, Rev. Fr Jerome Dsouza - Principal, S.H PU College, Madanthyar, Ronald Sequeira - Vice President and Leo Rodrigues – Secretary, Madanthyar Parish Pastoral Council were the other guests present on the dais.
Ronson Veigas – President, ICYM Madanthyar Unit welcomed the gathering. Lavita Fernandes – Secretary, ICYM Madanthyar Unit presented the annual report. Many cultural programmes were performed by the various associations of the parish. The 9th Konkani drama - “Kon Konaso..?” written and directed by Tyson Dcunha was acted out by Tarne Kalakar Madanthyar after the cultural programmes. Lavita Fernandes – Secretary, ICYM Madanthyar Unit proposed the vote of thanks. Sweeny Maria Dsouza, Valencia – Host, Nach Nara Nach Nari, compered Jingle Nite – 2018.
