ICYM and YCS Urwa unit jointly organized youth day for all the youths of Urwa parish. A large number of youth enthusiastically participated in this programme. The programme began at 9:00 am with the registration at the church hall followed by Holy Eucharist celebration in the church. Chief guest and the resource person for the day was Leena Lobo Executive Engineer MESCOM.
In her talk she emphasized on value based life and responsibilities of youth in the society and in the family. Rev Fr Stany Pereira parish priest presided over the programme and appreciated the youth for gathering in a large number. Rev Fr Jason Lobo, Francis Saldanha, Lucy DSouza, Rochelle Misquith ICYM Unit President and Elden Lobo YCS Unit President were the dignitaries on the dais. YCS members invoked God’s blessings on the programme through a prayer song, Rochelle Misquith welcomed the gathering, Gavin Lobo ICYM Vice president verbalized the words of gratitude, Neil Dsouza prepared and organized the inauguration while Rozita and Lenisha were the emcees for the programme.
Later under the leadership of Neil Dsouza cultural programme and various games were conducted. Because of the hard efforts of YCS and ICYM members youth day has become a successful event and a day to remember
