ICYM holds blood donation camp at Pakshikere

Mangaluru: ICYM Pakshikere unit and ICYM Kinnigoli Varado in collaboration with various associations organized blood donation camp at St Jude Shrine Pakshikere.

The blood donation camp was held with the help of Fr Muller’s Hospital, Mangaluru. It began at around 10:00 am and continued up to 1:00 pm with a steady stream of donors throughout.

The camp was inaugurated by Fr Clifford Pinto, assistant parish priest of Pakshikere Church by lighting the lamp.

Dr Crystal from Muller’s Hospital gave the introductory talk on the importance of blood donation. Nagesh Anchan, president of Kemral gram panchayat appreciated the social service of youngsters. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, parish priest of St Jude Shrine, Joel D’Souza, president of St Jude association Pakshikere, Severine Lobo, president of Rotary Club, Kinnigoli, Dinakar Anchan, manager of Trident Trucking, Mangaluru were present for the programme.

Preema Pinto, president of ICYM Kinnigoli Varado welcomed the gathering. Jackson Saldanha vice president of parish pastoral council Pakshikere delivered the vote of thanks. Robert D’souza convened the programme.
