Inauguration and AGM of PTA held at St Philomena PU College Puttur

Putttur: The inauguration and annual general body meeting of Parent Teacher Association of St Philomena Pre-University College Puttur was held on July 16, 2016 in college auditorium.

 

The inaugurator Dr. Narendra Rai Derla, HOD of Kannada at Dr. K Shivarama Karantha Government First Grade College Bellare spoke on the topic ‘Role of parents in the education of their children.’ He said, ‘The parents play a major role in inculcating values in their children. Human values, social values and cultural values are very essential for a sound character and personality.’

The Campus Director Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro participated as guest of honour. The Correspondent Very Rev. Fr Alfred J Pinto presided over the programme.

The Principal Rev. Fr Vijay Lobo delivered introductory speech. The President of PTA Dr. Sooryanarayana K graced the occasion. The students who have excelled in various curricular, co curricular and extracurricular activities during 2015-16 were honoured by the Parent Teacher Association. In the general body meeting, the process of selection of new office bearers was held.

Ms. Akshaya and team performed the prayer. The secretary of PTA Mr. Prahsanth Bhat P welcomed the gathering. The treasurer Mr. Anil Kumar proposed the vote of thanks. Mrs. Usha Yashavanth A compered the programme.
