Inauguration of 58th Branch of Bharat Bank at Mangalore – Kankanday

Mangalore, October 31: The inauguration of 58th branch of The Bharat Co-operative (Mumbai) Bank Ltd. managed by Billawa’s Association Mumbai was held today morning at Exotica Complex of Kankanady near Bendorwell, Mangalore. Shankaracharya Brahmananda Saraswathi Swamiji of Kolar branch of Jagadguru Sringeri Mutt inaugurated the branch by cutting the ribbon.

Jaya C Suvarna, the Executive-President of National Billawa General Council and Billawa’s Association Mumbai and the Executive President of Bharat Bank inaugurated the branch by lighting the lamp. The Vice-President of the bank – Adv. Rohini J Salian inaugurated the locker service and other facilities.

Swamiji wished the bank and said, “Let the bank spread its financial services completely in the States of Maharashtra-Karnataka and provide public services throughout the country. Let the bank lead as a successful guiding institution in co-operative sector. The hardwork of the founders reaps its fruits today and let this be more fruitful. Let more and more branches be opened to help the public. Let God Lakshmi Sathyanarayana give more service encouragement, spirit and develop this bank”. Jaya Suvarna offered him flower bouquet on behalf of the gathered as a token of expressing their happiness towards selection of the bank by the Karnataka Government for Karnataka Rajyotsava Award for the year 2014.

“The selfless service of Jaya Suvarna with his financial support is the basic reason for this greater achievement. Let this service be continued and the bank reach more heights”, wished Sathish Kumpala.

Jaya Suvarna, the Executive President said, “The trust of the customers and the outstanding performance of its employees are the reasons for the success of this bank in the co-operative sector, which is managed by Billawa’s Association Mumbai. The encouragement of the leader of Billawa society and the ex-central finance minister – B Janardhana Poojary is the reason for the progress of the bank. The Bharat Bank is getting ready to be financially strong in co-operative sector along with the well-wishes of the customers and with social concern. We have transacted about Rs.12000 Crores, and are permitted to have about 87 branches and wish to have 100 branches by 2018”.

The young leaders – Sathish Kumpala, Harikrishna Bantwal, Adv. Menala Ashwini Kumar Rai, industrialists – M Sitaram, Rohan Montero, H S Sairam, Surya Prakash, Mahabala Poojary Kadamboli, Vinod Sherlekar, Arun Mendiz, Chandrashekar Nanil, M J Shetty, K Padmaraj, Jayavikram Sorake, K Sanjeeva Poojary, K Yogesh Kumar, Lawrence Seravo, P D Shenoy, Suresh Rai, Prakash Somayaji, Ganesh Bangera, Deeraj Kumar, Subhash D Amin Malad were present as special invitees.

Sri Keshava Shanthi Narikombu performed Punyaha, Vasthu Pooja, Vasthu Homa, Mahaganapathi Homa and Sri Sathyanarayana Pooja and distributed theertha-prasadam. Nisha S Poojary and Santhosh Poojary couple led the pooja.

The Directors of the bank – Bhaskar M Salian, Gangadhar J Poojary, Suryakanth J Suvarna, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer – C R Mulki, Ex-Director – Shankar d Poojary and hundreds of customers, shareholders, well-wishers participated in the function and expressed their wishes.

The Ex-General Manager – Prof. Shekhar Poojary, General Manager – Nithyananda D Kotian, Asst. General Manager – Balakrishna S Karkera, Chief Manager – N Raghava Bangera (Hampankatta), Heads of local branches – Sudhir S Hattiangady (Moodubidri), Udaya M Haleangady (Surathkal), Lakshminarayana C Salian (Mulki), Arunkumar G Kotian (Udupi), Praveen M Bangera (Puttur), Shakunthalam Narendra (B C Road) and others were present on this occasion.

The Head of Kankanady branch – Udaya S Salian welcomed the gathering. The General Manager – Nithyananda D Kotian presented the programme and introduced the guests. The Asst. Manager – Sathish V Karkera proposed the vote of thanks.
