Inauguration of Student Council, Clubs and Associations 2023-24 at St Philomena P.U.College , Puttur .

Inauguration of the Student Council,Clubs and Associations was held at St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur on 17th June 2023 in the Silver Jubilee Memorial Hall.

The formal programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp.

 

The President , Very Rev. Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, Correspondent ,Mai De Deus Educational Institutions,Puttur in his presidential remarks said that a leader is one who serves and loves his people. He advised students to know the sacrifice of their parents. He enlightened the students to love everyone, to be kind , to have a pure heart , to make others happy and to learn the value of life.

The Inaugurator and the Chief Guest Mr Ashwin L. Shetty ,Administrative Officer, Vidyarashmi Educational Institutions, Savanoor said, "Money is important to lead a luxurious life ". He motivated students to work hard with a purpose and fulfill their dreams . He advised students to respect themselves and to be focused .

The Guest of Honour ,Rev. Fr Stany Pinto , Campus Director, St Philomena College said that the students should develop an attitude of never giving up their passion. He wished the students with good health and happiness.

The Guest of Honour, Mr Jerald D'costa ,Vice President, Parish Pastoral Council ,Mai De Deus Church, Puttur said, " A leader is someone who can see how things can be improved and who rallies people to move towards a better vision. Leaders should work towards making their vision a reality by putting people first".

The Guest of honour, Mr Mamachan M , President, Parent - Teacher Association said, "Student life is very important as it is the stage where students can shape and brighten up their future".

The Guest of honour, Mr. A. Jagajeevandas Rai , President , Alumni Association complimented the office bearers of the student council and said that the students should respect their parents and lecturers. He motivated students to have an aim in life and work hard to fulfill their goals.

The Principal, Rev Fr.Ashok Rayan Crasta administered the oath of office to the newly elected members of the student council Rev. Fr Stany Pinto, Campus Director, St Philomena College was felicitated by the Correspondent ,Very Rev. Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas for securing 6th Rank in the Master of Public Administration.

Samruddhi R Rai, 10th Rank Holder in the state and 174 Distinction holders were felicitated on the occasion Mr.Prashanth Bhat ( Lecturer in Chemistry) and Mrs. Philomena Monteiro ( Lecturer in Commerce] Directors of Students' Council coordinated the programme.

Pravan Ponnappa M. N. [II PCMB 'B'],President of the Student Council welcomed the gathering. Pruthvi K [ II SEBA 'B'] Joint Secretary of the Student Council proposed Vote of thanks. Krishna Priya (II PCMC ' E' )compered the programme.
