Inauguration of box of charity at Crossland

An inauguration programme of the ‘Box for charity ‘was conducted under the auspices of the social science department and extension cell of Crossland college, Brahmavar. The Box of charity is an extension of the Wall of charity project of the college. The guests for the programme were Ms.Lavanya, an HIV activist based at Udupi and Ms.Sanjeev a food chain owner based in kundapura.Ms.Sanjeev shared her experience with the students.

The foundation of this programme was on the basis of a case study on Transgenders, which was taken up by a group of final year B.A Social science students –Ms.Wafa, Mr.Devaraj and Mr.Raviraj under the able guidance of Dr.Robert Clive G, Professor in Rural Development.

The programme was hosted by Ms.Wafa and Mr.Devaraj and the vote of thanks was proposed by Ms.Salwa.
