Industrial Visit Programme at St Philomena College Puttur

Puttur: The Department of PG studies in Economics, St Philomena College Puttur organized an ‘Industrial Visit Programme’ on October 28, 2016. Under this programme, students of the Department visited Milk Dairy of KMF and Hindustan Unilever at Mangalore.

 

In KMF, students took the study of milk Processing & Packing unit, Paneer production unit, Ghee production unit and UHT flexi milk processing unit. They also witnessed the production of Milk Peda, Kajubarfi, Lassi and Flavored milk. Mr. Manoj of KMF guided the students to acquire practical knowledge about the working of Milk Dairy.

In the second session, students had been to Hindustan Unilever. Here, Mr. Udaya Kumar and Mr. Peeter Antony explained about the management, production technology, labour issues, finance, marketing techniques etc. of the Unit.

The programme was organized by the Department to give an opportunity to the students to acquire first hand information about the industrial activities. The faculty members of the Department Ms. Mahitha Kumari M, Mrs. Sandhya H and Mr. Pradeep K S coordinated the programme.
