Infant Jesus Annual Feast – Katkare, Koteshwara

Kundapura, Jan. 21: The annual feast of Infant Jesus was conducted on Thursday at the Infant Jesus Carmel shrine of Katkare, Koteshwara. The Holy Mass was offered by the Dean of Kundapur Deanery Rev. Fr..Anil D’Souza with a slogan “Let us be kind like the heavenly Father”. Other priests of the zone, guest Priests, religious sisters and thousands of devotees participated in the mass.

Rev.Fr. Gregory D’Souza gave a message and said “Jesus is a rolemodel to us, he was very kind, your kindness makes the heavens open, our children are our assets, let us instil the values of Infant Jesus in our children”.

Rev Fr. Wilfred Frank of Carmelites who is doing his service in Kolalagiri was felicitated for his 25th ordination anniversary. On this occasion, Fr Anil Dsouza released the book written by Fr Deep Fernandez. This book was about ‘Louis Martis and Jeli Gerin’ who were the first couple honoured with Sainthood.

Rev. Fr. Felix Moras – the chief priest of Katkare Infant Jesus Carmel shrine welcomed all. Rev. Fr. William rendered the vote of thanks. Rev Fr Rayan Pais led the choir. Local Parish Priest Rev. Vincent D’Souza and many other Parish Priests were present on the occasion.
