Installation ceremony of Lions Club Santhekatte office bearers for 14-15 held

Udupi: Installation ceremony of new office bearers of Lions Club Santhekatte for the Lionistic year 2014-15 was held at Sharada International Hotel hall here on Saturday, 19th July, 2014. Ln. George Samuel MJF District Cabinet Secretary was the chief guest and installed the team of Ln Chandrakanth M. Prabhu.

After the invocation prayer traditionally, Ln Sandeep Nayak welcomed the gathering. Ln Chandrakanth Prabhu placed brief report. During the occasion, three new members namely, Praveen Carvallho, Sushma Carvellho and Suresh M. Suverna were inducted to Lions Club of Santhekatte.

The Chief guest of the function Ln. George Samuel said that internationally Lions Club has an excellent image. Lions Club always help those in need in the Nation along with resources to general public and execute leadership activities. Lions Club International is the biggest non-governmental association in the world, which serves the public at large.

Prakash Bettin Regional Chairperson and others spoke during the occasion. Scholarships were distributed to two deserved students. Ln. Chandrakanth M. Prabhu, elected President gave his acceptance speech.

Ln. Hariprasad secretary proposed vote of thanks, while Ln Hubert Lewis compered the programme.
