Udupi : The installation of Udupi Taluk Brahmin Mahasabha (Reg), Udupi office bearers’ was held at Rajanagana Sabha Bhavan of Sri Krishna Temple on Sunday, 22nd November, 2015. Sri Sri Vidyavallabhatheertha, Swamiji of Paryaya Kaniyoor Mutt, Udupi blessed the occasion and inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

Prof. K. Haridas Upadyaya, Founder President of Udupi Taluk Brahmin Mahasabga presided the occasion. Sri K. P. Putthuraya Scholar, Bangalore and President of All India Brahmin Mahasabha, Dr. N. B. Vijay Ballal, Administrator of Sri Janardhan Mahakali Temple, Ambalpadi, Sri. K. Raghupathy Bhat former MLA, Sri Sachithananada Chathra Administrator of Sri Kamalashile, Kundapura, Smt. Amrutha Krishnamurthy, Vice President of Udupi Municipal Council, Dr. Udayashanker H. N. Professor at MIT., Manipal and Head of Havysha Brahmin Sangha, Udupi Sri M. Manjunath Upandyaya, elected President of Udupi Taluk Brahmin Mahasabha, Krishnaraja Saralaya, Venketraj Bhat, Secretary, Srikanth Upadyaya, Vice President and others were present.

Vesudev Adoor Hon. Treasurer and President of Thonse Zone Brahmin Committee gave a keynote address. He said there is need to establish own building for the Mahasabha which at present works in Kaniyoor mutt premises.

Newly elected President, M. Manjunath Upadyaya Parkala spoke after the installation ceremony. Venugopal Mullaria welcomed the gathering and compered the programme.
