Mangaluru Sept. 01: The Dept. of General Medicine A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences conducted a intra collegiate 7th Annual “Mediquiz” contest for the under Graduate students at their conference hall on 01.09.2018.
Dean of the college Dr. Ashok Hegde graced the occasion as chief guest, in his address he advised the under graduates and post graduate students to enhance their knowledge by participating in the quiz contest regularly to achieve success in their medical professional career. He later congratulated all the 8 teams qualified for the final round and awarded Trophy, prizes, merit certificates to the winning team of Sudhamshu Kashyap & Ms. Aveena Kalal and Runners up team Ms. Prithvi Shetty and Ms. Poorna Prasad and congratulated them on their unique achievements. Former Dean Dr. Ramesh Pai, Senior Prof. Dr. Prabhakar Rao and Head of the Dept. of Medicine Dr. E.V.S. Maben were guests of honour on this occasion.
Professor of Dept of General medicine Dr. Devdas Rai was the quiz master he informed that the Dist. level inter collegiate medical quiz contest will be conducted on 29.09.2018 at their college premises and the winners are qualified to participate in the contest.
18 Teams from college contested in the preliminary round and 8 teams qualified for the final round. Dr. Andrew Alex Vargheese and Dr. Vallish Shenoy assisted Dr. Rai as score markers. Dr. Nehal welcomed, Dr. Naidila Jain Proposed a vote of thanks.
