Moodbidri: MLC and chief whip of the government in legislative council, Ivan D'Souza blamed that the bus lobby is working behind this inordinately slow running time of railway line between Mangaluru and Bengaluru.
"Even after the railway line between Mangaluru and Bengaluru was converted into broad gauge, trains take about 13 to 15 hours to run between these two destinations. As the cost of travelling in train is leass, people prefer trains. To discourage people from going in trains, bus lobby is trying to increase the time between travelling in train," he alleged.
"MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, has the authority to scrutinize the truth behind this suspicion. He should immediately intervene in the matter and find out the truth. This will eb helpful to the people. I hope MP Nalin Kumar works on it," he added.
