Mangaluru: "BJP will remain as an opposition party for the next five years and the coalition government will successfully complete the full term. Local BJP MLAs are raising voices and disappointment claiming that coalition government has completely neglected coastal district in the recent budget and they protested over the same. While presenting the budget, chief minister H D Kumaraswamy said that this is the continuation of the budget that was presented earlier by the then chief minister Siddaramaiah in the month of February 2018," MLC Ivan D'souza said.

"I totally disagree with their claim that the government has totally neglected the coastal belt. It is a continued budget. BJP is losing patience. Where development is concerned, patience is the key. Within a few days of forming of the present coalition government, they are claiming that the government is not in favour of people and not fulfilled the aspirations of the people in the budget. I feel that they are not patient enough,” he said.

"When Yeddyurappa took the oath and arrived at the floor test, he was wearing a green shawl by which he wanted to prove that he stands with the farmers. Chief Minister Kumaraswamy announced that every farmer household will get Rs 2 lac waiver. Due to this crop loan waiver scheme of Rs 34,000 crore, farmers will be benefitted greatly. Will not the agriculture development, based on Israel model, worth Rs 150 crore, benefit the coastal farmers?" questioned Ivan D'Souza.
