Janardhan Poojary is ready to go to jail for Cauvery issue

Mangaluru: Addressing a press meet at premises of Kudroli Gokarnatheshwara Temple on Friday September 30, former union minister B Janardhana Poojary said, "Order from the Supreme Court is massive blow to the people of Karnataka. Court should understand that Karnataka state is facing the water problem and we are not against the court. There is no water for the people of Karnataka. From where do we release the water to Tamil Nadu?”

“Don’t release water to Tamil Nadu. On behalf of six crore people in the state, I am ready to go to jail, of needed. Supreme Court should understand the situation of Karnataka. There is water in Mettur dam for the people of Tamil Nadu not only for drinking but for agriculture. Monsoon in Karnataka will end but in Tamil Nadu monsoon has just started,” he added.
