Jeevan Jyothi camp for high schools catholic students of Kallianpur Deanery inaugurated

Udupi: For the High School catholic students of Kallianpur Deanery level Life Value camp, Jeevan Disha and Jeevan Amruth camps inaugurated at Milagres Tri-centenary Hall, Kallianpur on Monday, 10th October, 2016.

Very Rev Fr. Valerian Mendonca Chancellor of Udupi diocese and parish priest of Barkur church of Kallianpur Deanery presided over the inaugural function and inaugurated by lighting the lamp.

In his inaugural address Fr. Valerian Mendonca said that know your faith and live your faith. Life is full of sorrow and happiness, The success lies in facing the challenges of life with grit and determination. The main object of this camp will be to give an opportunity to learn moral values, to develop leadership qualities and also provide the students an opportunity to interact with each other. The life value based these seminars must help the students to grow strong in faith and the values of Christian life as well.

Fr. Valerian appreciated the students who attended in large number and very first day itself students were in much disciplined atmosphere. He was also grateful to the organizers for the excellent arrangements. He wished that the light of the faith shall remain forever.

Earlier, Rev Fr. Prakash Anil Castelino spoke the keynote brief address and welcomed the gathered. The programme began with an invocation hymn sung by Milagrean students. Rev Fr. Nelson Furtado of Pilar Fathers, Fr. Anil of Mount Rosary, Fr. Roshan of Brahmavar church and Rev Fr, Rolwin Aranha were present on the dais. Meanwhile, Rev Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves Parish Priest of Kemmannu church, Rev Fr. Francis Cornelio of Thottam Church, Rev Fr. Herold Periera Director of Commission of Small Christian Communities were present.

Fr. Prakash Anil Castelino of Milagres compered the inaugural programme. Around 300 students of eight parishes of the Kallianpur deanery were present during the inaugural programme. The camps like Life Values, Jeevan Disha and Jeevan Amruth will be held at Milagres Cathedral campus. Deanery nuns and Milagreans youth will provide all necessary help during the camp.
