Journalist Ravi Belagere conferred

Udupi: Well known journalist and writer, Ravi Belagere has conferred the Vaddarse Raghuram Shetty journalism award at Brahmavar Bantara Bhavan on Sunday, July 23.

The award was presented to Hai Bengaluru administration official Umesh Hegde on behalf of Ravi Belagere, in a ceremony held by Brahmavar Press Club.

Udupi district in-charge minister Pramod Madhwaraj said that journalism also has responsibility. “There is no fear in any sector if the conscience is clean," he said.

Brahmavar Press Club president Chittur Prabhakar Acharya presided the programme.

Vidhana Parishad member Kota Srinivasa Poojary, entrepreneur Ananda C Kunder, Maranakatte Krishnamoorthi Manja and social worker advocate Sudhir Kumar Murolli were present.

Earlier, club secretary Rajesh Ganiga Achladi welcomed the gathering. Vasanth Giliar delivered the keynote address. Chandrashekar Beejadi compered the programme. Harish Kiran Tunga proposed the vote of thanks.
