Junior JC Award Winner Deeksha Parvathi honoured in St Philomena PU College Puttur

Puttur: Deeksha Parvathi of second year PUC Science stream was honoured the “Outstanding Junior JC winner”, the National award in the JC National conference.

She is the proud daughter of Mr. Dinesh Prasanna and Mrs. Uma D. Prasanna from Samethadka. As the President of Puttur Junior JC wing in 2017, she undertook many programmes for the betterment of the society. She contributed water purifier to Samethadka Anganawadi, Book bank to Salmara High School. Other than this, she actively took part in many programmes based on personality development in many Schools and Colleges. Many programmes were conducted on health issues in hostels where students could discuss about their health related issues with well experienced Doctors. Enlightening programmes on cavity was undertaken for the Anganawadi students in more than 8 Anganawadi centres and free tooth brush and paste were distributed. Apart from this, scholarship was given to the students under the JC Foundation. She gave keen interest on creating awareness about Dengue, Malaria and distributed free mosquito nets. Besides this, she participated in cleanliness programme, plantation programme and distributed cereals to the poor people free of cost. Beauty tips certificate course was organized for College Students.

Fr. Vijay Lobo, Principal expressed his happiness and was proud of her achievement. He wished her a bright future and a successful life.
