‘Kalakulotsav’ -2017 by Mandd Sobhann

Mangaluru: ‘Kalakulotsav’, a two-day Konkani drama festival by ‘Kalakul’ – Konkani’s lone theatre repertory, run by Mandd Sobhann, began on June 18, 2017, at 5.30 p.m., at the Town Hall, Mangalore.

The first play presented that evening was ‘Magirchem Magir’ written by Chafra D’Costa. Before the second play was presented, there was a quiz for the audience, conducted by Arun Raj Rodrigues. At 7.30 p.m., the second play, ‘Dev ani Denvchar’ written by Arun Raj Rodrigues, was presented. Both these plays were directed by Christopher D’Souza Neenasam.

The other 2 plays of Kalakul – ‘1+1=1’ and ‘Paying Guest’ will be presented on June 25, 2017, at the Town Hall, at 5.30 p.m.. Entry free.
