Kanara Entrepreneurs Bangalore collaborate with BKCS Koramangala for a Mentoring Session

As part of its social responsibility to society Kanara Entrepreneurs – Bangalore (K.E), has been conducting mentoring sessions in many parts of Bangalore. This time it was held at St. Anthony’s Firary campus on 28th October 2019, and the event was organized by KE in collaboration with Bangalore Konkani Catholic Sangh – Koramanagala thereby reaching out to people in Madiwala, Adugodi, Bommanahalli, HSR layout, BTM layout and surrounding areas.

The program commenced at 4p.m with opening remarks from Charles Gomes- President of KE Bangalore, who also gave an encouraging introduction as to why people from the community need to venture into entrepreneurship.

Pramod, Associate Director of KE, touched upon Startup Ecosystem in India which is booming; He also gave introduction to the much needed “One-page business plan” which is essential of an entrepreneur to understand and explore one’s own abilities, ideas, pros & cons and the structuring requirements to start a viable business. Pramod also gave some insights on how to start working on the ideas that audience may have in their mind and in case they have come with an open mind, then how to start thinking or brainstorming to arrive at a business idea.

Following Pramod's interaction, Royston Pinto, Santosh Gonsalves and Anil Rego who are member of KE, shared their start-up experiences with the audience. While Roystan spoke about his journey of starting Lumino matrix, a digital signboard solutions from very humble beginnings blended with hard work, focus and commitment, Santosh- founder and CEO of Liradolf Infotech touched upon learning from failures and sticking to the strengths during his talk. Anil Rego, CEO of Right Horizons talked about how he spelt out a personal planning before gradually moving into entrepreneurship, from his corporate job at Wipro.

Frank Coelho, another KE member and Chairman of Taurus group, who is also the president of BKCS Koramangala shared some useful insights about entrepreneurship.

Rev. Fr Amaldas, parish priest of St Antony's Friary Church, graced the occasion and commended KE and BKCS for their selfless service. Shanti DSouza, Secretary of BKCS compeered the event and managed the flow of the event. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Stan DSouza, Director of Finance, KE.
