Karnataka Lokayukta, Justice Y. Bhaskar Rao conducted hearing of 45 cases District Offices on Saturday 22.

Udupi: Addressing press meet after the public hearing he said that out of 45 cases, 16 cases had been disposed of and for the remaining cases, notices will be issued for counter reply.

He added that 4,566 cases pending, when he took charge on February 14, 2014. From February 14 to November 19 Lokayukta received 2,269 cases. Out of all 6,123 cases disposed. 712 cases are pending in the State.

Lokayukta from February 14 to November 19 conducted 385 trapped cases and 167 raids and 469 other cases. Total Rs.261, 76, 67,145 worth illegal movable and immovable property is been traced

Cases on SE/ST land disputes, misuse of the SC/ST scheme by officials and quarry blast related cases were also included.
