Kasargod–Byndoor train cancelled temporarily

Published On : 13 May 2017   |  Reported By : Canaranews Network

Kundapur: Kasargod-Byndoor passenger train which was operating keeping in mind increasing number of pilgrims visiting the Kollur shrine, has been cancelled temporarily from May 12. Though the railways has clarified that the cancellation of this train service was only a temporary measure and that maintenance works would be undertaken during the time, what has been gathered is that the poor response from the general public towards the train service had led to its cancellation.

The Railways had even extended the train service upto Kannur last year. The train has Mangaluru Junction as its starting point and there were not many takers for it. Less revenue is also said to be the reason for this.

We will have to wait and see, when will be the train be back on track.
