Kerala Cultural & Social Centre Udupi celebrated Onam along with 24th Anniversary

Udupi: Kerala Cultural & Social Centre ® Udupi organized Onam Celebrations 2016 and 24th anniversary on Sunday, 18th September, 2016 at Sri Narayanaguru Kalyana Mantapa, Bannanje, here. In his address Pramod Madhwaraj after felicitation to him, said that it would be a long relationship with the Kerala community. As per as Onam festival is concerned, the culture like preparing various dishes of the new farming products which is celebrated by all sections of the Kerala Community without any caste, religion or sect. All are equal during the celebrations of the Onam which is celebrated by  Kerala and also other states as well as internationally.

We can see Kerala community spread all over the world, especially in the Gulf countries and perhaps the Gulf countries today are developed we can say that it would be due to Kerala people who work hard and with intelligence. No doubt, that if all Kerala people reside in the state, we can see more development, he said. He wished all the community on the Onam festival celebrations.

Earlier, after the invocation, the programme was inaugurated by Smt. Meenakshi Madhav Bannanje President of Udupi CMC.

Dr. Tom Devasia Prof. & Head of Department of Cardiology, Kasturba Hospital, Manipal was the chief guest. Mrs. Meenakshi Madhava and Dr. Tom Devasia were felicitated by the KCSC, Udupi. Dr. Tom Devasia as well as Mrs Meenakshi Madhav gave wishes during their address.

Scholarships were distributed to various class students who scored top marks in previous examinations. Meanwhile, prizes were also distributed to various competitions held on the occasion of Onam celebrations.

T. A. Rajan President, Mohandas P. A. Secretary, Santhosh Kumar Treasurer and Krishnan M. Chairman of Onam Celebration committee were present on the dais.

Earlier, T. A. Ravirajan welcomed the gathered. Alisha Benny gave an introduction on chief guest Dr. Tom Devasia. Large numbers of Community Members were present during the celebrations.
