Mangaluru: Minister for food and civil supplies U T Khader in a press meet held at the Circuit house on February 23 hit out at those people who want bandh in Mangaluru.

“Calling for a bandh is a destructive trend which will affect the development of the district. Both CPM and the Sangh Parivar are two faces of the same coin. Why do they want to discuss the murders happening in Kerala here in Dakshina Kannada? Issues or murders related to Kerala state should not be discussed in Dakshina Kannada and spoil the peace here," Khader said.

Khader also said, “In Kerala, there are many organizations that can take care of such issues. When any Chief minister visits any state, he should be given protection. Whoever is trying to create fear in the minds of the people should be ignored.”

Khader stressed that whoever has set the CPM office at Ullal on fire shall be punished.
